Can't drag from Finder

I know this is ridiculous but when I am selecting files in Documents, I'm not able to drag my selection to the folder. What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like you may not actually be using a true finder window. Select “open new finder window” from the File menu at the top of the screen then use that window. If you are in an app already and trying to save something, it will present a window that looks identical to a finder window but that window is not dragable. Example:

The giveaway here would be the fact that there is a Save button at the bottom.
