To Office or not to Office.

Should I download Office Mac 2011, or is there a better version for Word/Excel? I had it on there before but lost my disk. Should I purchase and download again?

Microsoft Office has two different plans now. $150 upfront for the software if you can still find it as a download or their new preferred method which is subscription based. Monthly fee. It’s hard at this point to continue to recommend Office for anyone. Other options include the free Office clones Open Office, www.docs.google.com, as well as Apple’s own Pages, Keynote, and Numbers. With Microsoft Office, one has the security blanket of the word “Microsoft” but if you don’t mind being a little progressive, either of the other options method above would be fine.
